7/31/2018 - I love using natural products on my daughter whenever I can, and this sunscreen is the best! Not only does it prevent sunburns, it's gentle on my daughter's sensitive skin. Thank you for making such a stellar product!

7/24/2018 - I am so impressed with the ingredients in this sunscreen - the ingredients are so minimal, and it's SPF 30 and water resistant! That can be tough to find in green beauty. It is thick and comes out white, but this stuff seriously rubs in so well and does not leave a white cast, which is also hard to find. It absorbs well and does not leave a greasy film. I will be buying more!

7/15/2018 - I absolutely love this Sun Protector sunscreen! It's a lotion that goes on easily, and stays on. I'm impressed with how long it stayed on after hours in the ocean!

SUN PROTECTION MEASURES
Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.
For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Stop and ask a doctor if rash occurs. When using this product, keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Why should I use a mineral sunscreen?
Sunscreens made with the mineral zinc oxide form a physical barrier on your skin and relect the UV rays. Chemical-based sunscreens have active ingredients like oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate and/or octinoxate, which absorb UV radiation to dissipate it. These chemicals are then introduced into the body and can be harmful. Sunscreens made with zinc oxide provide strong sun protection, don't break down in the sun, and offer good protection from UVA and UVB rays.
What is Broad Spectrum?
Broad-spectrum sunscreen protects against the harmful effects of both UVA (aging rays) and UVB (burning rays). To be classified as offering broad-spectrum protection, a product needs to absorb or reflect at least 90% of the UV rays. Our sunscreens provide great broad-spectrum protection without any harmful chemicals.
What does SPF mean?
SPF stands for "Sun Protection Factor". A sunscreen's protection factor (SPF) is figured by comparing how long it takes sunscreen-protected skin to burn to the length of time it takes unprotected skin to burn. Dermatologists recommend using a SPF 15 or SPF 30 sunscreen; higher SPF numbers don't provide substantially more protection. SPF 30 sunscreens protect against 97% of the UVB rays. Every sunscreen will eventually wear off, no matter what the SPF or active ingredients, so we recommend reapplying at least every two hours.
When should I apply sunscreen?
Mineral sunscreens like Sun Protector protect by forming a barrier on your skin, so it's best to apply 15 to 20 minutes before going outdoors, to ensure an even application across your skin. Reapply at least every 2 hours when outdoors.
Are Sun Protector products Reef Safe?
There are currently no certified 'Reef Safe' tests. We believe our sunscreens do not pose a negative impact on coral reefs as they do not contain any of the ingredients shown to harm coral reefs. Zinc Oxide is the only ACTIVE ingredient in our SPF 30 sunscreen, and there is no evidence that zinc harms coral.
When does your sunscreen expire?
Our sunscreen lotions have an expiration date on the back side embedded at the top crimp. This expiration date is two years from the date of production. Whenever possible, store sunscreen in a cool dry place because heat and humidity hasten its demise.
